Supervision and regulatory framework
- TabbPay is a software (SaaS) provider and is not a payment or e-money institution; it provides only technical services that support the provision of payment services, within the technical-service-provider exclusion of Article 3(j) of Directive (EU) 2015/2366 (PSD2), as transposed by Law 4537/2018. Payments are carried out through a licensed third-party payment service provider (Viva Payments Single Member S.A., supervised by the Bank of Greece).
- For personal-data matters, the competent supervisory authority is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
- For consumer disputes: the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman (www.synigoroskatanaloti.gr) and certified Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) bodies.
