Manager guide
The dashboard at dashboard.tabbpay.com is where you run the venue. You control the menu, the QR codes, the team, and the live order queue.
What you can do from the dashboard
- Configure the menu: items, prices, modifiers, sections, and photos
- Manage tables: table numbers, capacity, and section assignments
- Generate QR codes: printable stickers or paper tents that guests scan to order
- Invite staff: they receive an email link to install the Staff app and join the venue
- Assign shifts: who is on which tables and when
- View live orders: a real-time queue across the venue
- See revenue and analytics: by item, shift, staff member, and day
- Read guest reviews: per order and per staff member
What only the Owner can do:
- Change the subscription tier or billing details
- Add or remove venues
- Promote a user to Manager (you can invite Staff and Shift Managers)
Daily playbook
The dashboard is built for self-service. The in-app prompts walk you through each task. Email support@tabbpay.com if you hit a wall.
- Dashboard tour. The sidebar lists every section. Overview is your daily-use page.
- Setting up the menu. The Menu Editor lets you add items, modifiers, and sections. Price changes take effect immediately.
- Generating QR codes. The QR Codes section produces a printable file per table. Lamination is recommended for outdoor tables.
- Inviting staff. Open the Staff section, click Invite, enter their email and role. They receive a magic link by email.
- Creating shifts. Open the Shifts section. Assign staff to time windows and table sections.
- Reading reviews. The Reviews section shows a star rating and comment per order. Staff reviews appear in each staff member's profile.
- Promotions. The Promotions section lets you create time-limited discounts per item or per category.
- Discounts at the point of sale. Staff can apply manager-approved discounts to an order. Configure presets under Settings, then Discounts.
- Order modifiers and item groups. In the Menu Editor, open Modifier groups. Useful for "Spice level", "Size", or "Add-ons".
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |

| Staff can't sign in | Re-send the invitation from the Staff section. Check they followed the email link on the same phone that has the app installed |
| Order didn't reach the kitchen or POS | Open Settings, then POS, check the connection and use the test-send button. If still broken, contact support |
| QR code scans but the menu doesn't open | Check the venue is marked Active under Settings, then Venue. The URL should start with https://app.tabbpay.com/v/<your-venue-slug> |
| Wrong table assigned to a staff member | Open the Shifts section, edit the shift, and reassign |
| Guest disputes a tip | Tips are logged with an order ID and timestamp. Email support@tabbpay.com with the order ID and we can audit |
| Billing question | Only the Owner can change billing. Ask them, or they can email support@tabbpay.com |
Roles and permissions
From lowest to highest access:
- Staff: uses the Staff app, sees only their own tables, orders, and tips
- Shift Manager: same as Staff, plus can reassign tables during their shift
- Manager: full venue operations (this is you)
- Owner: Manager access, plus billing, integrations, and venue creation
You can invite Staff and Shift Managers. You cannot invite other Managers or Owners.
Your data
Your dashboard sessions, the staff records you create, and the menu you publish are stored in EU-region AWS in Frankfurt. Your venue is the data controller for guest order data. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
