Staff guide
The Staff app is your view of the venue during a shift. Here is what you can do from it.
What the app does
- See every open table with active guests, the order count, and the running bill
- Get a push notification when a guest places an order
- Accept orders, mark them as sent to the kitchen, and mark them complete
- Clock in and clock out of your shift
- See your tips, per shift and in total
- See guest reviews of your service
The app does not let you edit the menu, invite other staff, or change any billing. Those are done by your manager or owner.
Getting started
The in-app screens walk you through each step. Ask your manager first if you get stuck, then email support@tabbpay.com.
- Installing on iPhone or Android. Your manager sends you a download link when the venue goes live. Tap it on your phone and follow the prompts.
- Signing in for the first time. The link in the email logs you in. You set a PIN on first launch.
- Accepting and serving orders. The app shows a queue. Tap an order to accept it, then tap "Sent to kitchen" when it is handed off.
- Tips and payouts. Tips appear under the Performance tab. Your venue sets the payout schedule.
- Shift clock-in and clock-out. Open the Shifts tab and press the button at the start and end of your shift.
- Reviews. Open the Performance tab. You see only reviews about your own service.
Troubleshooting

What we will never ask for
We will never ask for your bank card details. Tips and payouts go through the venue, not directly to you (unless your venue specifically arranged direct tip payouts with you).
We will never call you and ask for your password or sign-in PIN. Anyone who claims to be from TabbPay and asks for these is not from us. Report it to your manager.
Your data
We store your name, email, phone (if you provided one), shift hours, the orders you handled, the tips you received, and a one-way hash of your PIN. We do not track your location. Your employer (the venue) is the data controller for your records. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
