QR order and pay lets a guest scan a code at the table, order from their phone browser, and pay from the same screen — no app to install and no terminal carried to the table. Here is the whole flow, step by step.
1. The guest scans the code
Each table has a printed QR code. The guest opens their phone camera, scans it, and the menu opens instantly in the browser. There is no app to download and no account to create — the code carries the venue and the table.
2. They order in their language
The menu shows in Greek or English, per item, with the real prices and photos you set in the dashboard. The guest adds what they want and sends the order. A whole table can order the moment they sit, without waiting to be seen.
3. The kitchen and staff get it immediately
The order forwards to the POS you already run — symPOSium or HIT POS — so the kitchen ticket prints exactly as it does today, and it lands in the staff queue with a push notification. Nothing about the kitchen workflow changes.
4. They split, tip and pay
At the end the guest pays from the same screen, by card or digital wallet. They can split the bill equally across the table or pay only for their own items, and add a tip that is attributed to the shift. No calculator, no waiting for a terminal.
5. The table turns
Because the guest pays the moment they are ready, the table is free as soon as they stand up — the slow sequence of asking for the bill, waiting, splitting and paying is gone.
What the operator sees
On the dashboard you see live orders, revenue, and which tables are open, and your staff see the queue on their phones. Settlement, off-app payments and reporting all run from the same place. Setup takes most venues under an hour: upload the menu, connect Viva Wallet or Stripe, and print a QR for each table.
